Today we had two cases in Dinwiddie, Virginia traffic court dismissed with no fine. When a charge of speeding or reckless driving is dismissed, then it will not appear on your driving record. So you will not get points and you will not be penalized for it.
We had another case that was reduced with no points. Sometimes the judge will not want to send you to driving school to get a charge dismissed. An alternative to this would be to reduce the charge to something that has no points. That way the judge can still set a fine, but the judge is not giving you any points so outside of paying the fine it should be almost as good as a dismissal.
