Dismissed Reckless Driving Ticket in Hopewell, Virginia
Today, in Hopewell General District Court, I was able to get my client’s reckless driving charge completely dismissed. A dismissal is not a common occurence in a Reckless Driving case. When they do occur, it is very beneficial to the defendant.
Typically, reckless driving charges are only dismissed in the event of a mistake by the officer or after the completion of driving school. Examples of mistakes by the officers are: writing the wrong offense date on the ticket, providing proof that the officer pulled over the wrong person, and an out of date radar calibration. Sometimes a judge will sentence a recipient of a reckless driving ticket to driving school; upon completion, the charge will usually be either reduced or dismissed.
In this case, a technicality was found in which my client was found not guilty. If you have received a speeding or reckless driving ticket in Hopewell, Virginia, contact me as soon as possible to discuss your case.
